Our client is a well known highly regarded Sustainable Business based in Yate Bristol, who are looking for individuals who are looking to start or progress their career.
The company are based within the Logistics Distribution and Supply chain sector.
Description
The Key Responsibilities will be:
- Effectively forecast over 350 stock lines.
- Prepare and send orders to suppliers taking into consideration sales history, seasonality, growth, spikes, and supplier lead time.
- Prepare and send orders on all bespoke products after receiving complete bespoke files from Sales Support.
- Schedules and e-mails are received from suppliers each week, you will check all orders on the schedule / e-mail to ensure the order is on time in full, any discrepancies are e-mailed back to origin and escalated if required.
- Liaise with the freight forwarder to ensure shipments are booked and shipped on time.
- Shipping documents will be sent by origin within 48 hours of container shipping, and will match the documents with various PO's and amend where applicable.
- Each container will be tracked until arrival at UK port and scheduled for delivery to the UK warehouse taking into consideration the port free time and any urgent products required.
- Documents & clearance instructions will be sent to the freight forwarder for Customs clearance.
- The containers are booked with the haulier and PIN's obtained from the freight forwarder.
- Any bespoke products exceeding forecast will be reported to the account handler.
- Customer driven reports designed and maintained
Profile
The ideal Logistics & Supply Chain Graduate will have exposure to;
- The ideal candidate has a relevant Business, Logistics or Procurement and Supply Chain background with at least 1-2 years of experience or graduate/Masters level. Or professionally experienced 5+ years in the relevant area and, has managerial experience from a procurement or Logistics function.
- You have a proven track record within project management, preferably with cross-function projects in a multi-national environment.
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills and experience with negotiations - and you can build rapport even in challenging situations.
- You have knowledge of demand and forecast management, tender strategies and supplier portfolio optimisation.
Job Offer
The Logistics & Supply Chain Graduate - will receive;
- Salary - £30,000 - £32,000
- Government Pension
- 25 days Holiday + Bank Holidays
