The School
This brand new school in Jakarta is part of a highly prestigious UK school group, with Colleges throughout Asia and a strong reputation centred on a breadth of excellence, both in academic and co-curricular provision, wellness education and academic achievement.
The school will open for the first time in September 2024 and will aim to be the leading and most inspirational education provider in Jakarta. It will begin as an Early Years and Preparatory school in a well-resourced and well-appointed urban sanctuary setting. It will grow into a Secondary school on a bigger site that is purpose-built with outdoor school facilities and resources appropriate for older students. The school believes that every child has the right to a well-planned, joyful, and holistic education with excellent standards of teaching. Early Years education has a lifelong impact on how young children view and value learning.
Key to the educational ethos is full commitment to the school, with staff, children and parents all playing their part in creating and maintaining a truly unique and vibrant atmosphere. Role and Responsibilities
The school is inviting enthusiastic and skilled Lower Primary Teachers to become a part of the pioneering team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and provide outstanding educational experiences for pupils in the primary age phase, implementing a curriculum that balances the high standards of UK education with the local context of Jakarta.
Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver an inspiring curriculum which achieves the standards of the English National Curriculum within the context of Jakarta and the local region.

Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating educational environment for their learners.

Regularly assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.

Engage with parents and guardians, providing insights into their child's development and learning.

Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive educational approach.

Participate in ongoing professional development related to the English National curriculum and international education.

Contribute creatively to school-wide events and extracurricular activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, specialising in Primary Education.

At least 5 years of experience in an educational setting.

Certified in teaching, with a focus on the UK National Curriculum.

Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills.

Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students in Jakarta.

A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for innovative educational practices.

As a start-up school, teachers should be resilient, adaptable, and willing to problem-solve.
