We are seeking a Yard Hand / Machine Driver to join our team at our waste transfer site. As a Yard Hand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our site. This is a full-time position that requires strong communication skills and the ability to drive a loading shovel and a grab machine.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading of recycling materials
- Carry out daily inspections, refueling - greasing of machines being used
- Perform basic mechanical tasks as needed
-Ensure access routes are kept clear and tidy
-Carry out additional duties that are reasonable requests
Experience:
- Previous experience working in or similar environment is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
