Hse Manager

A HSE Manager is needed at an award-winning and market-leading manufacturing business in Leeds.

This business has gone from strength to strength and is set for strong growth. As a HSE Manager, you will take responsibility for HSE including the robust systems and auditing but will also lead and drive the hands-on elements of HSE such as Risk assessments and managing toolbox talks. They need a HSE Manager who will work with an engaged shop floor who understands the value of HSE to break down and solve problems and put in place the right procedures and policies.

Key responsibilities and skills needed as a HSE Manager

• Take responsibility for HSE and help drive the right policy and procedures and culture
• Oversee ISO 45001 and 14001 standards and accreditation and maintain all relevant procedures
• NEBOSH Diploma is preferred – However, if you are working towards this and have the right background they will still want to see you or NEBOSH General certificate considered with strong experience.
• Conduct PUWER assessments/risk assessments and ensure proper safety controls are in place
• RAMs
• Accident investigations
• Implement training programs, matrices, and records to ensure all staff are properly trained
• Chair health and safety meetings and manage and delegate toolbox talks
• Ensure permits to work and HSE systems are functioning properly
• Have a manufacturing background and experience conducting handson safety checks
• Manage the business's HSE responsibilities as it grows
• Coach and mentor your team

If you have a good background in managing the ISO standards and the process around that they would be comfortable with a HSE Advisor who can step up into the role.
