Machine Operative

Our client is a prestigious manufacturing business in the heart of West Yorkshire who as part of their continued success seeks a Machine Operative to operate fibre feeding lines for the Bonded Wadding and Home Textile division.
With full training on all machinery, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that is thriving and is continually looking to develop and improve the skills of the team.
This role can be quite physically demanding with plenty of walking around involved.
A successful candidate must:
Be IT Literate.
Have an in-date FLT licence.
Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate machinery and equipment according to specification, including ensuring the correct blend settings on the machines.
Keeping the hoppers running unless you have mechanical or electrical faults.
Perform basic maintenance such as unjamming hoppers as required.
Liaise with the Maintenance/Electrical departments on any breakdowns.
Participate in trouble shooting and problem resolutions, including KPI data collection and feedback.
Ensure each bale of fibre raw material is booked out for usage and traceability on the fibre booking sheets.
Operating FLT truck following all health and safety guidelines.
Working hours and wage:
You will be working on a rotating shift pattern Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 40hrs per week with some overtime opportunities.
The hourly rate for this position is £12.46 per hour.
