Role – Machine Operator

Location – Newport

Salary - £25,000 – £30,000

Shift – 7:30am – 4:30pm (12:30pm Friday finish)

Permanent Position

Overtime available

This is an excellent opportunity for a Machine Operator to join an established engineering company based in Newport.

This market leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive and transportation.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for quality of work and level of production
• Ensure that components are coated accordingly to the quality standards / process documents for each application
• Inspect parts before and after processing to ensure preceding operations have been carried out correctly and to verify that your own work has met the required standards
• Good housekeeping of own work area and contribute to the general upkeep of the working environment.
• Operate in a safe manner and undertake any training necessary to enable you to fulfil the requirements of your position
• Wear personal protective equipment provided by the company
• Ensure a high level of communication to employees, managers & colleagues

Qualifications, experience and skills:

• Engineering background
• Team worker, concern for accuracy and quality, good communicator, flexible, initiative, customer focused, conscientious with a hands-on approach and good planning and organising
