Working hours: Monday - Thursday 0600-1400 / Friday 0600-1330
Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour
We are looking for a Machine Operator to join a manufacturing business who service the sport and leisure industry. The successful candidate will be expected to run bespoke machinery.
You will be trained as a Machine Operator, ensuring that there are no technical faults to flag up to the maintenance team. However, in due course you will be taught how to change tools, carry out fault-finding and diagnosis, and conduct setting of hydraulic equipment and light-guards.
In simple terms this role would lend itself to somebody from an FMCG background, such as pharmaceutical or food production, in which you are working closely with continuous machine operating and quality being at the centre of your work.
A proven ability to work on mechanical machine sets is required, as would the ability to part-set different types of automated machinery.

- Trimming and finishing of completed parts, appropriate application of polishing compound
- Assembly of small parts
- Ensuring workbench area is kept tidy all hand-tools are in a good state of repair and fit for purpose.
Candidate will need:
- The ideal candidate for the Machine Operator will be confident working under their own direction and have an understanding that no two days are the same. A strong drive to fulfil customer expectations and commitments will be vital.
- For experienced applicants, a strong manufacturing background will be essential. The successful applicant must also have excellent team working skills, strong hand-eye coordination, good attention to detail and most importantly; enthusiasm for producing high quality product.
