Our client, based in Essex, are looking for a Machine Operator to join their rapidly growing company. They are print and packaging specialists who are enthusiastic, supporters of their employees and their growth and wellbeing.
The Role:

- Maintain and operate machinery
- Confirm job details before feeding the press
- Work enthusiastically to achieve production targets
- Inspect pallets after cutting and complete daily quality checklists
- Perform make-ready and preventive maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate daily records of time, materials usage and production information
- Assist with hand packing duties as needed
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, hygiene procedures and allergy management
- Report any potentially unsafe conditions issues to a supervisor
- Communicate any quality concerns or customer complaints.

The Candidate:

- Experience of operating machinery in a production/manufacturing background
- Experience operating tab cutting machinery or Widmann packaging machines is desirable
- Experience with hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklift certification (desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Salary & Benefits / Shifts
The starting salary for this role is £12.50ph / £26,000pa and is dependent on experience. Plus, benefits including overtime, EOT beneficiary, competitive holiday allowance, and much more. The shift pattern is 40 hours a week, working an 8 hour day between the hours of 7am and 7pm.
