Machine Setter / Operator-Permanent role

On behalf of our client, the UK’s biggest construction specialist in cold roll forming based in Birmingham (B69)we are looking for a Machine Setter/Operator to join their production team.
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Location: Oldbury B69
- Shift Pattern: Days (Monday-Friday 7.30 am-4 pm) and Nights (Monday-Thursday 6 pm-1 am)
- Salary: starting from £28.500p/a
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate rolling mills and assist with coil changes and mill changeovers
- Achieve daily targets to meet customer demand by ensuring machines are working to the optimal efficiency and target speeds are constantly maintained
- Follow verbal or written instructions and work to set out procedures
- Troubleshoot any quality, set up or speed issues arising from rolls, tools or material on existing or new sections and offer feedback and resolution as it becomes part of the daily operating process
Key Attributes:
- Manufacturing experience in a production environment
- Be capable of quickly integrating yourself within a team environment on rolling mills
- Have knowledge of rolling special profiles for safety-critical products
- Be capable of working to tight tolerances
- Be well-organised, multi-skilled, self-motivated and professional
