Job description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Facilities Technician to ensure that our manufacturing facility in Chesterfield operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and has a keen interest in the Industrial/Manufacturing sector.

Description

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any equipment malfunctions, working closely with the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
  • Ensure the facility meets health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing necessary changes.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and spare parts for equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance or installations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Document all Maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.
  • Contribute to a safe and clean work environment by following company procedures and guidelines.

Profile

A successful Maintenance and Facilities Technician should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment Maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with different departments and external contractors.
  • A commitment to health and safety standards.
