MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT MANAGER | £39,300 per annum
In this role, you will support the Maintenance Managers in the effective management and supervision of all maintenance duties. You will execute works allocated by the Technical Services Management Team, ensuring they are carried out in order of priority and that they are reported back on.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance work as allocated, including Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Supervision of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation
- Providing reports on work completed
- Completion of statutory / legal paperwork including Gas Safe and electrical installation certification
- Complying with all divisional procedural standards
- Providing frontline response for fire alarm activation and other incidents
- Planning staff rotas to ensure that the Company’s needs are fulfilled and ensure that overtime and third-party costs are managed in accordance with the departmental operating procedure
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive your contracted hours each period.
As our Village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills as you will regularly come into contact with both colleagues and guests.
Essential requirements:
- A current full UK driving licence
- Work well under pressure
- Work with minimal supervision
One of the following qualifications is required along with suitable working experience in the relevant technical field:
Electrical
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation Theory and Practice or Equivalent NVQ or SVQ Qualification in Electrical Installation
- C&G 2381/2 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
Plumbing
- Level 3, NVQ or SVQ in Engineering Maintenance and Installation in Plumbing, Heating and Ventilation
Mechanical
- Level 3, NVQ or SVQ in Mechanical Engineering
Desirable requirements:
- Previous supervisory experience
Domestic Gas
- CCN1 Domestic Core Gas Safety
- CEN1 Install, Exchange, Service, Repair, Breakdown & Commission domestic gas fired central heating, hot water boilers and circulators up to 60kw
- CKR1 Install, Exchange, Service, Repair, Breakdown & Commission domestic cooking appliances
- CPA1 Combustion Performance Analysis of Domestic Appliance
