Maintenance Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity as a Maintenance Engineer, to work with our client based near the Rochester area. The role offers a competitive salary and great benefits that come with working with a well-established company.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience with high-speed packing machinery
• Background in food manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a passion for precision

Hours:

4 on 4 off, rotating day and night shift pattern.

41.75 hours per week.

1.5 hour break

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee both reactive and proactive maintenance tasks, encompassing addressing breakdowns and scheduled maintenance for packaging machinery.
• Respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimize machinery downtime.
• Champion and prompt continuous improvements throughout the factory, enhancing quality, efficiency, performance, safety, and reducing waste.
• Take charge of completing planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks and daily checks promptly.
• Contribute to the training of colleagues and identify your personal training needs.
• Ensure that all maintenance work aligns with the company's food safety standards.
• Adhere to the company's Hygiene Code of Practice and meet Health and Safety requirements for all undertaken tasks.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with legal Health and Safety standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe working conditions.
