Maintenance Engineer

British Gypsum is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Robertsbridge, with the purpose to being responsible for the management and development of a maintenance team working to the highest efficiency and safety standards to meet preventative, corrective and performance improving engineering programmes to ensure optimization of all plant and equipment to ensure that the production process is as effective and efficient as possible.

What we're looking for:

• HNC/HND minimum in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering related discipline
• Managing safely IOSH
• Time served Mechanical/Electrical craftsman
• Section Leader trained.
• Experience working to WCM standards would be preferable
• Maintenance engineering background from all industries will be considered,
• Stable and solid background as a Maintenance Engineer

What you will be doing:

• Leads the team to understand and follow EHS requirements specific to the Maintenance team so as to create a safe and sustainable work environment
• Ensures that maintenance plan/activities are adjusted as required and that the time is used effectively.
• Manage the CAPEX budget from identification to completion of projects
• Driving a culture that supports continual development of credible experts
• Proactive Commissioning and Fault Finding.
• Enabling the rapid prototyping and implementation of new ideas, products and services.
• Ensure all maintenance shuts, included the annual extended shut are maximized in terms of introducing plant and production line improvements
• Predictive and preventative maintenance for the plant inclusive of Mechanical/Electrical tasks
