Maintenance Engineer

Frontline recruitment are working with a well-esteemed manufacturer in the search for a manufacturing maintenance technician.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the UK subsidiary of a large multi-national company and take responsibility for the maintenance of the production machinery of a 1st-Tier supplier.
Shifts will be Monday to Friday (rotating) 6:00 - 14:18 and 15:20 - 23:38.
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be required to keep the operational equipment running efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to have a hands-on, technical and operational role, with responsibility for the assembly line performance of the shift, but also have the opportunity to apply your skills anywhere.
Tasks will be but not limited to:
Maintain plant and machinery to a high standard through PPM.
Troubleshoot and find ways to improve line performance.
Proactively schedule maintenance works to maximise service levels.
Carry out condition-based maintenance to reduce downtime.
You will succeed if you have the following
You hold a level 3 Engineering or Maintenance qualification.
You have a strong electro / mechanical aptitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You can troubleshoot and repair sophisticated machinery (such as electrical, pneumatic or mechanical systems)
You can respond urgently to immediate problems and also be disciplined enough to plan routine tasks, future improvements and preventative maintenance.
You are an effective communicator, who can both influence and keep others well informed.
Good understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
Can-do / positive attitude to complex problem solving and project implementation within an automated environment.
Computer literate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for maintaining Two Production Lines working a 'Just in Time' sequence operation. Working in conjunction with the adjacent Shift Maintenance Engineer.
- Carry out Pre-Shift Maintenance Checks
- Perform PPM activity & adhering to a Planned Preventative Schedule.
(Daily / Weekly, Monthly & Yearly Tasks).
- Plan & Schedule Site's Residual Inspections / Repairs.
- Lead Corrective Machine Repairs.
- Generate Reports. (Shift & Breakdown Reports).
- Maintain, Review & Update Maintenance Risk Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments & Work Standards / Procedures.
- Support our Production Teams, to ensure the Production Lines meets the required Customer Quality Specifications & Delivery Performance.
- Follow & Adhere to Safe Working & Environmental Procedures.
- Actively participate in Maintenance / Production / Safety & Environmental Meetings.

- Experience of Mitsubishi & Alan Bradley PLC's (D)
- Experience & ability to program (D).
