Salary We are happy to be partnered with a well stablished family run business who are seeking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team.
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be working alongside and closely supporting the Engineering Manager with plant maintenance and day to day tasks.
Shift Pattern: Full-time role, Monday to Friday with a mix of days, earlies and lates with some weekend hours (with paid overtime). No night shifts.
What will I be doing?
• Efficiently maintain & repair electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
• Undertake diagnostic and fault-finding procedures.
• Conduct routine maintenance and general upkeep of plant equipment.
• Attend mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Assist with small projects and continuous improvements.
• The right candidate will also need to show a commitment to quality and safety as well as assisting in keeping the factory safe and compliant.
Desired skills and experience:
• Electrically qualified and Competent Multi skilled Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical)
• Previous experience in FMCG or food industry
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and variations to workload.
• The ideal candidate should have high level of problem-solving skills, experience working with industrial electrical systems, plant machinery and packaging machinery.
• Understanding electrical drawings.
• Maintain and update planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Being able to identify faults or hazards and troubleshooting system failures
