Are you an experienced Data Centre engineer or interested in working in Data Centres? A leading facilities management service provider that is currently maintaining a Data Centre operator based in Bedford, Bedfordshire. They are actively recruiting a Data CentreMaintenance Engineer from either a mechanical or electrical engineering background to manage the day-to-day mechanical and electrical services located at a large brand-new Data Centre complex in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
Your new role

• Ensure that routine PPMs are carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists.
• Perform PPM and reactive maintenance to power/temporary power, lighting/emergency lighting, sprinkler systems, fire alarm tests, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, air-conditioning plant, AHU's, FCU's, UPS systems, generators, HVAC systems, and general engineering fault-finding.
• Perform HV and LV switching/site shutdowns.
• Organise subcontract labour.
• Organise quotes and the labour/procurement of materials and parts.
• Be responsible for health and safety, logbooks, risk assessment, permits to work, etc.

What you'll need to succeed

• City Guilds/NVQ or BTEC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrate strong communication and people skills.
• Able to write reports and carry out quotes.
• Career-driven, looking for the next step on the career ladder.
• Smart and presentable.
• Ex-Forces considered.

What you'll get in return
Salary: 35,000.00- 40,000.00 per year.
