Form of work Multi-Skilled Engineer - Day Shift
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week (OT Available) Day Shift Hours; Monday to Friday
Location: Near Soham
Key Accountabilities:
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering team, providing effective and professional engineering services. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the business to cultivate a strong work ethic, maintain site efficiencies, and uphold cost considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide reactive crisis breakdown services both mechanically and electrically for the operational success of the site.
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance, servicing schedules, and overhauls of site plant, machinery, and equipment.
* Support the delivery of site performance targets and actively participate in process development and continuous improvement projects.
* Execute engineering projects as scoped with the Head of Engineering.
* Maintain the engineering log and shift hand-over, recording all aspects of work carried out on site plant and equipment.
* Highlight observed risks to performance and escalate accordingly with suggested remedial plans.
* Proactively manage stock levels and advise on the need to order spares ahead of failure.
* Collaborate with third-party service engineers and contractors, promoting a positive image of the company and the engineering department.

Person Specification:
Requirements:
* Exposure to a hands-on engineering environment.
* Team collaboration experience.
* PPM delivery and experience in the food or FMCG industry preferred
Qualifications:
* City & Guilds 2323 or 17th / 18th edition (BS 7671).
* Proven PLC and electrical controls fault-finding training preferred but not essential as training can be given
* H&S awareness.
