Manpower is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with our client who are a UK wide manufacturer of products and materials to the construction sector.
We are keen to speak with candidates with strong mechanical, fitting and maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial settings.
Day shift Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm and 3.30pm finish on Fridays! This could be the perfect role for a Maintenance Engineer looking to move away from shifts
You'll be joining the existing maintenance team to ensure production machinery and plant equipment operates efficiently, following preventative maintenance plans and resolving breakdowns. .
The Role
- Mechanical repairs, fitting and maintenance on a wide range of production plant and machinery to the highest standard with work requests and pre-determine specifications
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and record accurately
- Fault finding, testing and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures, and parts
- Assist the engineering team to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained for spare part lists and ensure that all necessary records are completed accurately.
- Work closely with Production to prioritise daily workload and plant maintenance
- Respond to breakdowns with urgency to minimise downtime
- Contribute to long term engineering excellence and quality standards
What we are looking for
- Qualified Level 3 or HNC/ HND Engineering or Mechanical discipline
- Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic
- Maintenance experience on automated machinery
