Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial setting is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule to prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
• Implement and maintain maintenance management software to document work orders, track equipment history, and maintain maintenance records.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions to production schedules.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
• Participate in research and development projects and contribute to design and manufacturing mechanical parts and assemblies

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems.

Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.

Experience with preventive maintenance practices and procedures.

A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Familiarity with maintenance management software systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Specification: Materials Engineer / Metallurgist

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Materials Engineer or Metallurgist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in material development, characterisation, and testing, with a focus on maintaining a very hands-on approach. Previous industrial experience in a similar role is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct research and development activities to create and optimise materials for specific applications, with a focus on metals and alloys.

Perform material characterisation and testing using a variety of techniques

Design and execute experiments to investigate material properties, performance, and behaviour under different conditions.

Analyse experimental data and interpret results to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations for material improvement.

Troubleshoot material-related issues and provide innovative solutions to overcome challenges in material development and processing.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to support product development projects.

Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and test results, and prepare detailed technical reports for documentation and presentation.
