SalaryDue to an increase in production, we are looking for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established team in the automotive industry, the business is based in Witton in Birmingham. The company has invested over 2 million in new machinery with plans to invest more over the next two years.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to use you mechanical and electrical knowledge to respond to breakdowns and perform planned maintenance on machinery such as automated robots, conveyors, and CNC machinery.
This is a Monday to Friday, double days based role that gives you a work/life balance. You will also have plenty of opportunities to grow your skills and technical knowledge.
The role as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Using your Electrical, PLC and Mechanical skills to resolve breakdown issues with minimal impact to production
- Executing efficient ways of completing repairs and maintaining machinery
- Ensure that all work, as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader is carried out accurately, to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Complete all planned maintenance activities within the specified timescales to support production uptime.
- Be proactive in personal development in technical skills and knowledge required for the role and be aware of changes in engineering Best Practice
- Active participation of all maintenance projects
- Identify new procedures or revisions to existing maintenance procedures
- Apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of a level 3 C&G, NVQ, BTEC
- Electrically & Mechanically qualified.
- PLC fault finding ability, basic program changes would be a distinct advantage
- Computer literate; Windows 95 , 2000 , XL , 7, 10 etc.
- Experience in CNC machine tool environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Double Days
- Monday Thursday 06 30 / 13 00
- Friday 06 00 / 13 00
- Up to GBP42,000 pa depending on experience & including shift allowance
- Paid over time
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension & free onsite parking.
