Gi Pro are proud to be working in partnership with a National Manufacturer in the key supply chain to the building sector. The company are looking for a mechanical bias Maintenance Engineer to work in their talented engineering team.
Job Role:
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible to attend to factory machinery breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
Responsible for ensuring that the facilities and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and fully automated equipment.
Typical Duties will involve:
- Carry out regular weekly checks on automated lines.
- All maintenance reporting to be logged and spare parts issued.
- Carry out regular routine maintenance.
- Carry out preventative maintenance plan.
- Liaise with factory team leaders regularly.
- Organise factory maintenance workshops, keep tidy and alert when running low on spares.
- Working safely and following risk assessment and method statements.
- Ensuring all machine guarding and safety systems are always in place.
- Being flexible to working hours and available for weekend work where required.
Desirable experience
- City and guilds mechanical or similar
- City and guilds electrical testing
- City and guilds engineering
- Hydraulic, pneumatic experience essential
- Siemens PLC fault diagnosis
- CNC machinery knowledge advantageous
- Ability to read several different electrical wiring diagrams.
- Automated production line experience also advantageous
