The role
As Maintenance Manager, you will lead the site's maintenance function to ensure that plant machinery and equipment is maintained and efficiency is maximised to achieve operational and production objectives.
- Full-Time, Permanent
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, rotating 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shift pattern
- £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
Key accountabilities
- Develop and implement appropriate maintenance strategy, systems, techniques, and activities to ensure cost-effective maintenance
- Management of the maintenance team and contractors
- Overseeing all predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Train, develop and supervise personnel
- Ensure maintenance and repair works are carried out according to business and industry standards
- Ensure breakdowns are managed effectively to minimise plant downtime
- Manage the procurement of spares and equipment to ensure continued operations
- Ensure compliance to HSE legislations
- Ensure wiring inspections and PAT testing is carried out as required
Skills & experience
We are seeking candidates with:
- Extensive experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Experience of preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance techniques
- Strong IT literacy (particularly MS office)
Whilst not essential, relevant qualifications such as Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree or higher, and NEBOSH certification or similar would be preferred.
