Alexander Steele have partnered with a food manufacturing business in Essex to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance functions of the business to reduce machinery downtime. The role holder will lead a oversee the maintenance operations that play a key role in our client s production process.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on a wide range of production equipment, including mixers, conveyors, ovens, packaging machines.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in maintenance practices, efficiency, and reliability.
- Provide training to maintenance staff on food safety protocols, equipment operation, and maintenance best practices.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, implementing and documenting compliance with regulatory requirements.
Background Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a maintenance management role.
- Electrical qualification is essential.
- Electrical welding qualification/experience is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
