Maintenance Officer
West Midlands (with travel across the area)

Our client is now looking for a Maintenance Officer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role
As a Maintenance Officer, you will carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance for all our client’s properties across Coventry, ensuring a high standard of accommodation for tenants.
Working with the Housing Officer and Housing Administrator, you will carry out a full range of repairs, maintenance and planned Improvement duties, including electrical and plumbing work, grounds and building maintenance and decorating.
Additionally, you will:
- Deal with emergency situations
- Conduct regular Health and Safety checks on properties
- Carry out and prepare condition reports on properties
- Conduct inspections of occupied and empty rooms
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive maintenance records
About You
To be considered as a Maintenance Officer, you will need:
- Experience in a maintenance role in social housing and/or supported accommodation
- Experience undertaking plumbing, basic electrical and gas appliance repairs
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations
- Knowledge of damp and mould handling and asbestos and legionella awareness
