Maintenance Operative

Owen Payne Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to work at one of our prestigious clients located in the Bilston, area on a permanent basis!

The client is a 30 bedded care home for Adult Service Users with Physical Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injury and Degenerative Neurological Disorders, requiring a continuum of care, through a structured programme of rehabilitation.

Responsibilities/General duties:

• Decorating bedrooms/shared areas/corridors such as painting/wallpapering etc
• General maintenance person duties
• Basic plumbing work
• Health and Safety checks throughout the home
• Maintaining gardens and general upkeep of the building
• Liaise with outside companies and head office regarding health and safety/maintenance issues
• Daily update via maintenance log to Home Manager on jobs done

Experience and qualifications you will need:

• Prior experience working in a similar role in a care/nursing home would be ideal
• Relevant Health and Safety qualifications would be desirable
• Good Health and Safety awareness
• Basic plumbing skills required
• Must be able to drive
• Must be willing to work outside of working hours to suit the needs of the home and in emergency situations

Pay Rate:

• £11.00 per hour

Hours of work:

• Minimum of 24 hour per week
• Days and times of work will vary each week so flexibility is required (Hours may vary between the hours of 7am till 7pm)
