Bristol Magistrates courts are located in the city centre, carrying out court cases from criminal cases to youth cases.
Bristol Magistrates courts are currently looking for a general operative to join their maintenance team based on site. As a general operative, your duties include:
- Reactive/ Proactive tasks
- Escorting Contractors
- Room set-ups, including courtrooms.
- Meter Reading
- Flushing little used outlets
- Check lifts as required by audits.
- Shower Descaling
- Health and Safety Checks for Audit
- BMS Monitoring
- Plant Monitor
- Fire door and extinguisher checks
- PAT testing
- Electric tool checks
- Pest control PPM
- Scaffold inspection
- Re-carpeting /Painting
- Monitor Stock
- L8 Reading
- Emergency lights
- Fixing toilets
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 6.30am- 2pm (negotiable)
£12.43 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
However, may be required to adjust times from time-to-time dependent on work being scheduled.
There will also be the opportunity to pick up weekend overtime.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar handy person role, strong DIY skills and attention to detail. Strong communication is also required for this role as you will be dealing with various subcontractors on a daily basis and the on-site team.
This is a temporary position for sickness cover, with the possibility of being taken on permanently (after 8-12 weeks).
