Techniche Global are supporting an engineering defence contractor to appoint a Maintenance Supervisor. This role will include creating Work Orders & raising Purchase Orders, Digital filing / data entry, Allocating work to engineers & contractors, progress updates on work by sub-contractors on site, logging and updating IT systems with work tickets, goods & services receipting, various other administrative responsibilities based around site activities.
Rate: £12-22p/hr PAYE + holiday pay + pension (inside IR35)
Location: Minley, Hampshire- 100% onsite
Duration: a long-term contract
Requirements: eligible for SC Clearance
You will be responsible for the supervision and co-ordination of reactive maintenance to infrastructure and equipment across the Estate, delivery of the company’s contractual and statutory obligations whilst ensuring a safe and cost-effective working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and lead reactive maintenance staff in the delivery of reactive maintenance and repair services, ensure reactive maintenance team have the correct competencies, training and support to deliver the service.
- Responsible person for all reactive maintenance delivery outputs including queries and engagement with supply chain, internal and external stakeholders.
- Co-ordination and supervision of day-to-day site checks, processing of work orders, and management of repairs as required in support of the company’s service level obligations
- Responsible to ensure that all Health and Safety requirements and legislative requirements are delivered and sustained through support and supervision of reactive maintenance team.
- Development and management of site wide budget for reactive maintenance services, including costs of third-party contractors and consultants
- Ensure that contractual KPI timescales are managed and met
- Provision of operational reporting relating to reactive maintenance as required by management team including attendance at PMR reviews
- Undertake personal professional development and attend statutory and regulatory training as required for the role
- Ensure company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times
- Complete any other tasks that are deemed within your area of competence
- Work collaboratively across all site and contract teams to meet contractual and management requirements
- Identify and implement best practice improvements across the contract to meet the continuous improvement agenda
- Deliver all People management outputs in support of your team – RTW Interviews, PDR, PIP’s etc

Qualifications:
- Trade or People Management NVQ, City & Guilds qualification
- HNC or HND
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (including Maths & English).
- Hold a driving licence suitable for use in the UK
Experience
- Experience in producing and evaluating Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
- Experience in supervising and/or managing maintenance teams
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages (minimum Word & Excel)
- Proven track record of working within a busy customer focused organisation
