Address MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To supervise the London/Croydon Maintenance team and operation. The Supervisor will be required to undertake, test and complete inspection of various building services and equipment in addition to routine and general maintenance tasks at our London and Croydon sites, as well as providing AL / sickness cover to the team when needed.
They will need to carry out site visits to all Chanel locations to check work standards of engineers and contractors, stock levels and compliance paperwork
RESPONSIBILITIES
PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
- Support Maintenance Managers with the efficient day-to-day management of the Maintenance department
- Assist Maintenance Manager to mentor and guide Maintenance Engineers work performance, chair meetings with the team and offering one-on-one guidance where needed.
- Delegate tasks to the Maintenance team or contractors
- Actively drive the team to achieve targets, completing requests in a timely manner and keeping all relevant parties updated on task progress.
- Provide expertise and advice for the maintenance team, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and authorities.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude at all times, leading by example and being an effective and motivational leader
- Update maintenance manuals to ensure the latest procedures are always recorded and the team are fully aware.
- An understanding of building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating.
- Ensure good time management.
- Create a positive atmosphere by being a Chanel role model and demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude
