SalaryWe have a job opportunity for the role of Maintenance Surveyor with the local authorities in Cambridge for 6 months and possibility with an extension.
Paye rate of 20,00 per hour PAYE plus Hol pay or 25,00 Umbrella per hour. Mileage paid.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Voids refurbishment surveyor needs to specify voids and to ensure contractors and in-house are DLO are working to meet the targets to handover the property.
- Monitor quality of the voids and ensure the voids standard is met
- Work using a handheld device to spec a void room by room and ensure photos are taken during all inspection upto post inspection
- Needs to also approve variations and approve invoices ensuring charges are accurate.
Skills and Experience:
- Must have experience of working as a surveyor within social housing especially within voids and refurbs
Excellent knowledge of the legislation surrounding Housing Condition Claims
Knowledge of schedule of rates and experience in selecting most appropriate for works required
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Qualifications or training required (or appropriate demonstrable experience)
Hours of work are 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
