We're recruiting for a Major Gifts Manager to join our development team at the British Library.

In your role as Major Gifts Manager, you'll be fundraising for an exciting range of projects including major exhibitions, digitisation, conservation, learning programmes and staff posts. You'll also have the opportunity to play a key part in the Library's ambitious capital campaign, currently in its quiet phase, which will transform our iconic building in St Pancras and create a brand new Library in Leeds. You'll have your own portfolio of major donors and prospects and work closely with the Head of Major Donors and Individual Giving, the Development Director, Board Members and senior colleagues across the organisation to devise compelling fundraising propositions and secure funding, developing cultivation and stewardship strategies and managing key relationships.
Please note that we're continuing to experience a major technology outage as a result of a cyber-attack. We're continuing our fundraising activity and our buildings are open as usual, however, the outage is still affecting our website, online systems and services, as well as some onsite services. We currently have a temporary website (), with limited content outlining the services that are currently available, as well as what's on at the Library.
