Major Projects Assistant

Berry Recruitment are looking for a Major Projects Assistant to join a local authority based in central Southampton.

This is a contract role for 3 months with a possible extension working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Hourly pay rate is between £15.43 and £17.59 depending on experience.

The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the managers and teams in the management, design and delivery of portfolio of important projects.

Main Duties:

• Undertake research and the gathering of background information on behalf of the managers including land ownership details
• Maintain up to date programmes for each major development project
• Prepare and deliver presentations and to provide support at meetings
• Assist in the preparation of development briefs and general admin duties
• Co-ordinate documents for Portfolio Briefings, development forums and design panel meetings

Skills:

• Understanding of the development process is desirable
• Administration experience is essential
• Computer literate - Microsoft Word & Excel experience is essential
