Job description

Location: Liverpool
Salary: £30,670
Contract Type: Temporary
Position Type: Full Time

Closing Date: Thursday 15 February 2024 - 12 Noon
Our people are at the heart of National Museums Liverpool. Colleagues from across the NML team make a difference every day, creating memorable experiences for everyone and challenging expectations. We pride ourselves on being a place for everyone, but we are always aiming higher, aspiring to be representative of the communities we serve. Through our people, we are building a culture which embeds trust, respect and inclusion and an organisation in which people are engaged and empowered to enable National Museums Liverpool to evolve. You could be just the right person to join us.

We currently have the post(s) of Major Projects Officer available.

Liverpool’s Waterfront Transformation Project, led by National Museums Liverpool, will link storytelling, heritage, community and hospitality to create a rich visitor experience that will be a catalyst for social and environmental improvements in the area. Our landmark project will transform the area between the Royal Albert Dock and Mann Island, as well as revitalising all our waterfront facilities, as part of a 15-year masterplan of reimagining Liverpool’s waterfront.

The Major Projects Officer will support the team delivering the physical projects that underpin the transformation. This vital role will work closely with NML staff and systems across the organisation to ensure that all project processes are properly followed from start to finish. It is a great opportunity for someone wishing to develop a career in the design, construction and management of museums, galleries and visitor attractions.
