Management Accountant

The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of an internal sales and service business with offices in Luton.

The Role

As Management Accountant you will report into the Head of Finance and work to provide an all round accounting service to support the Finance team and other Operational areas of the business. Day to day duties will consist of:

• Supervise daily activities of the finance team and provide support as needed.
• Daily cash flow and finance utilisation update
• Manage all payment processing and approvals ensuring procedures are followed and terms met.
• Manage year end audit and preparation of the statutory accounts with support from Head of Finance
• Review & Management of VAT and other statutory taxes
• Maintenance of invoice discounting accounts and monthly reconciliations
• Fixed Asset, depreciation and amortisation review, journal postings and reconciliations
• Preparation and distribution of the monthly management pack for review of the SMT
• Assist with preparation of the 4 month re-forecast pack to be distributed monthly
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Production and monitoring of monthly management accounts and variance analysis where required.

Your Profile

You will ideally be a Qualified or Studying Accountant with the ability to get up to speed quickly in a fast paced and demanding culture. Additional experience of Sage 50 would also be useful as would the ability to use other tools in order to assist on an upcoming change in ERP.

Role of Management Accountant in Luton is working on a 4 day a week basis in the office and paying £40-50K + Benefits.
