Management Accountant

Reporting to: Senior Finance Manager
Contract/Hours: Permanent 35 hours per week

The ONE Group are delighted to partner exclusively with Now: Pensions to support them with hiring a Management Accountant in their established Finance Team in Nottingham.

You will work closely and supporting the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Business Partner delivering the Month end close process and ensuring financial control by assisting with the year-end audit, management reporting. There will be a commercial aspect to the role where you will supportwith financial planning and partner with key stakeholders to ensure costs are in line with the agreed Budget.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborating and working closely with finance colleagues to support the month end cycle for NPL and NPTL, including the posting of Accruals and Prepayments.
• Ensuring effective control of finance processes is maintained and improved where required.
• Detailed P&L review, variance analysis and commentary at month end
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Support the Senior Finance Manager /Financial Controller with the annual audit.
• Reviewing charges to Employers and Members to ensure these are calculated correctly as well as monitoring of aged debt.
• Ensuring supplier invoices are coded correctly by our shared service team in India.
• Working with Group Tax to support NOW Pensions tax compliance including VAT.
• Monthly cost centre reporting with a strong focus on cost effectiveness and challenging overspends.
• Support of performance reporting, balance sheet and cash-flow analysis.
• Supporting the Finance Business Partner with the Annual budgeting process, working closely with all departments to agree and monitor targets. This includes challenge to the Heads of Department on their budget submission to ensure Budgets are robust.
• Support monthly rolling forecasting including P&L and KPI analysis. This includes tracking and monitoring of risks and opportunities.

Your profile:

• Part-Qualified CIMA/ACCA or Qualified by experience.
• Management Accountant with strong accruals, prepayments and reconciliations experience.
• Advanced excel: Pivot tables, v-look ups, formulas.
• Confident, Collaborative and committed
