We are looking for an experienced and astute Management Accountant with U.K. GAAP experience to support key decisions for a division of our client’s international commercial business.
This is a full-time hybrid working position (3 days in Camberley office) Monday to Friday with great scope for progression to Finance Business Partnering.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating commercial analysis/ financial modelling for business planning and contract bid teams
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Commenting on performance against budget and forecast
- Working closely with Business Partners and Business Unit heads
- Updating monthly forecasts and prepare annual budgets
- Analysing costs and business unit performance
- Liaising with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger to ensure correct coding of income and costs
- Leading monthly project review calls with Project Managers
- Ensuring that financial information is up to date
- Preparation of monthly work in progress
- Ensuring timely invoicing is completed in line with contractual milestones
- Act as the first point of contact for finance and accounting queries
- Preparation of draft statutory accounts
- Prepare supporting information for the annual audit
- Liaising with the external auditors as necessary
- Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required
- Proven success at Management Accountant level in a U.K. based med-large commercial business
- Good understanding of commercial issues
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP requirements
- ACCA/CIMA full or nearly qualified
- Impressive interpersonal skills
