£38,000 to £42,000 dependent of experience

My client is a well know, successful construction company who is looking to bring on a Management Accountant who is happy to progress it to a financial controller. The role will offer full training and a professional succession plan to allow you to reach your true potential.

Duties:

• Calculating journals
• Preparation of monthly VAT returns
• Supporting the sales ledger function
• Be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Balance sheet reconciliations
  Preparation and posting of WIP, accruals and other period end schedules and journals.
• Providing technical guidance and support as necessary
• Providing cover for other team members due to holidays or absence
• Keeping abreast of changing regulations and assisting with compliance
• Accounts administration tasks and any other ad-hoc duties as required to support the finance function.

Requirements:

• The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate all-round accounts experience.
• You must be able to work accurately and to deadlines, whilst being analytical and inquisitive by nature.
• Looking for someone that not only processes transactions but reviews the output to ensure that it is in line with expectations and is tenacious in resolving queries.
• You will be conscientious and have a ‘can-do’ attitude for this practical accounting role.
