SalaryWe are seeking a Management Accountant for a well-known and historic brand based in Stockbridge, just north of Romsey.
Our client has an excellent reputation and has been a local brand for over 50 years and in that time has grown to become to well known name within the UK and overseas. The office is set in a beautiful part of Hampshire but due to its rural location there are no public transport links, so a driving license is required.
This role would be perfect for a candidate who is actively studying ACCA or CIMA, or an individual who has some experience of month end tasks and would like to start their studies. Study support can be offered to candidates who would like to complete their qualification.
Key responsibilities for the Management Accountant role:
- Monthly management accounts preparation and review.
- Preparation and posting of month-end journals.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Control focus, in delivering reconciliation of areas such as payroll and credit card usage.
- Support with Cashflow analysis.
- Ad-hoc analysis and data provision.
- Flexibility to assist with any other required duties, including budgeting and forecasting and other requests.
- Comply with the company’s established policies and procedures including GDPR.
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.
- Perform any other reasonable duties from time to time which, in the Company’s opinion are within the job holder’s capability.
Required skills and experience for the Management Accountant role:
- Experience within an accounts role with some exposure to month end tasks. Learning and development will be offered, but some experience of the month end cycle would be a good starting point.
- AAT qualified or actively studying ACCA or CIMA is preferred, however, candidates with the right experience who would like to start their studies will also be considered.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
- Competent Excel user.
