  • JOB TITLE:Manager, Change Communications and Property &Site Communications
  • LOCATIONS:Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds, London, Birmingham or Halifax
  • SALARY:£56,421 - £74,290 (salary may vary on location)
  • HOURS:Full Time
  • WORKING PATTERN:Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site.

The manager role plays a key part in making sure the messages supporting our transformation and broader organisational effectiveness reach the right people at the right time through simple, consistent and actionable content.
As the Group transforms, so must how we communicate and engage with our colleagues.
The Colleague Communication & Experience team has been created as the centre of excellence to rethink how best we support both the strategic business delivery and cultural transformation through simpler, more targeted and consistent end to end colleague Communications and experiences.

About the Opportunity:
We’re looking for an experienced communications manager who can own and deliver at pace the high profile, critical and complex communications that form part of one of the largest transformations in UK financial services.
Reporting into the Senior Manager, Change Communications & Projects, you’ll be part of a small team of change, property and Site Communications specialists, playing a key role in making sure the messages supporting our transformation and broader organisational effectiveness reach the right people at the right time through simple, consistent and actionable content.
What you’ll be doing
  • Providing strategic counsel to business and project partners, identifying the most engaging and impactful ways to communicate with our audiences, enhancing and protecting our reputation and meeting transformation goals.
  • Creating blueprint frameworks to ensure consistency and end-to-end approach to Change Communications.
  • Collaborating with the team, across Group Corporate Affairs and experts in the business, often leading matrix teams or squads, to coordinate and lead complex and critical change and Property-related communications, including interlink with teams responsible for internal and external communications.
  • Supporting the Senior Manager as their project ‘buddy’ on the most complex, challenging Group change initiatives, owning and driving actions and ensuring communications priorities and objectives are met.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective networks of contacts across communications teams and subject experts, knowing who to connect with and when to ensure communications plans and delivery are integrated and coordinated.

What we need from you
  • Highly effective stakeholder management and partnering skills, building an extensive network of subject matter experts from across the Group.
  • Expertise in Change Communications, supporting the communications strategies and the oversight and delivery of impactful communications across multiple audiences.
  • Taking accountability and responsibility for own work and prioritisation, delivering to a consistent high quality.
  • A passion to embrace and inspire change and continuous improvement as well as a willingness to be bold and bring ideas and experiments.
  • Adept at crafting communications change and project strategies, overseeing the execution, often leading a matrix team, working with our channel and support teams and subject matter experts to deliver outstanding communications activity.
  • An analytical and creative mind that can cut through complexity, making things clear for stakeholders and audiences about the need for change.
  • A commercial growth mindset committed to driving return on investment and seeking efficiencies and impact in all that we do.
  • Proactive ownership of individual and team performance, taking accountability for collective success and taking pride in being part of being the change we want to see in the organisation.
  • Ability to work at pace in an agile tech-enabled environment.
  • Trusted to manage confidential material and apply insight / data-based judgement.
