LOCATION(S): Edinburgh or Bristol
HOURS:Full time
WORKING PATTERN:Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity:
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join the team and support the Senior Supplier Manager in the Finance COO within Group Finance Support (GFS) & Finance Data Analytics Office (FDAO) to co-ordinate and deliver a broad range of activities that focus on how Group Finance as a function manages its Supplier landscape and overall Group Finance Risk.
By building strong and long-lasting relationships with suppliers, we’re enabling the Group to stay ahead of the competition and better serve its customers. We are creating a centralised Finance Supplier Management team that has a real passion for Supplier Management.
Joining the Finance Supplier Management team provides an opportunity to assist in centralising the Supplier Management function for Group Finance. The role will focus on embedding the Supplier Management Framework, treatment standards and key controls and play a role in crafting the Team for the future. This role provides a great opportunity to grow and develop your supplier and risk management skills, in the context of being able to engage with a wide variety of suppliers and customers across Group Finance, and beyond.
GFS & FDAO operates in a team culture and you will be expected to work effectively as part of the wider team, collaborating to solve problems and sharing knowledge. There are always new issues to investigate and resolve, starting every single day with a desire to learn and improve is critical for success in role.
What you'll be doing:
The roles and responsibilities will extend to:
  • You'll play a key role in transitioning to a centralised supplier manager model, assisting in the transfer of activity to a centralised team under the Finance COO
  • You'll play a key role in leading Group Finance suppliers to deliver maximum value to Lloyds Banking Group.
  • You'll help develop and deliver the Supplier Management third party strategy, driving business strategic requirements and building partnerships with senior internal and external partners
  • Working in collaboration with the business areas, you'll ensure your suppliers deliver in line with expectations, drive incremental value and deliver competitive advantage in line with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Responsible for the active management of suppliers and apply the appropriate level of Treatment Standards.
  • By utilising data to identify trends, deliver continuous improvements to maximise our value and minimise risk in our supply chain.
  • Act as a source of expertise with your suppliers, providing professional advice to key partners and colleagues
  • Work closely with our risk partners to facilitate risk management of suppliers under 1RCSA (the Group’s Risk Management system).

What you'll need:
  • Experience of working with suppliers / 3rd parties with the ability to deliver results with accountability
  • A passion for understanding our suppliers and a desire to collaborate with our stakeholders to enhance their understanding of Supplier Management landscape and framework
  • An understanding of processes & practices relating to the Groups Supply Chain Framework
  • Experience of Group Sourcing
  • An understanding and awareness of Cyber, operational resilience, data privacy, technology, and cloud policies
  • The drive and organisational skills to plan and prioritise your workload.
  • The ability to both challenge and support Senior stakeholders by delivering effective Business Partnering.
  • Seeking an individual who is comfortable in working in a fast paced & changing environment, able to support delivery of solutions to inbound change impacting the team
