We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate leader to manage all operations at the Growing Well site in Egremont, West Cumbria.
Can you confidently lead a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of our mental health service, which will support up to 72 people per week, alongside a thriving horticultural enterprise? Management and leadership skills essential.
The role of the Manager (Egremont) is to develop the new Growing Well site at Egremont with support from Growing Well's Senior Leadership Team, establishing a pioneering new mental health service in West Cumbria, helping up to 100 people per week.
This includes:
Working with the Senior Horticultural Lead to create a vibrant therapeutic space Working with the Senior Therapeutic Lead to ensure wide local awareness of the new project with potential referrers and statutory bodies Induction of new staff and Support Volunteers Work with the Senior Therapeutic Lead to learn, understand and deliver the beneficiary journey and all associated systems / protocols Undergo training in:
- Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Mental Health First Aid First Aid Safeguarding Health & Safety
- And any other necessary training in order to understand, promote and management our service delivery framework at the Growing Well site in Egremont.
- Work with our Fundraisers to establish (and deliver) bespoke fundraising and marketing opportunities to raise funds for the Egremont site.
- Manage the day-to-day operations at Growing Well's 1.5-acre Egremont site and ensure that at all times our site is safe, productive, excellently maintained and efficiently run. This includes: Safe and efficient service delivery
- Effective delivery of annual crop plan and supply chain management Financial management of the Egremont enterprise
- Legal and Health and Safety management of the site
- Manage the delivery of therapeutic activity, skills development and support for up to 100 beneficiaries per week
- Line manage Egremont staff team (4 direct reports)
- Manage local fundraising and marketing initiatives
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to create a culture of respect, inclusion and security.
