Operations Manager for Substance Misuse Service - £32,000 per annum.
Full time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed term contract for up to 1 year.
21 HSC are looking to recruit an Operations Manager on an exclusively retained basis for Let the People Sing. Let the People Sing supports anyone affected by Substance Misuse and are in recovery in the Greater Craigmillar area.
The Operations Manager’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. You will perform various coordinating tasks, such as scheduling volunteers and activities, and risk management, along with some administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and managing part-time staff and volunteers. You will be working closely with their Board and partners including Connecting Craigmillar to prepare and implement an action plan, including managing physical and human resources, timeframes, and budgets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Establish a rota for Bothy operations including staffing with Volunteers.
- Recruiting and organising the training of Volunteers, group support and supervision.
- Assist in the recruitment of a Volunteer Coordinator and other support staff, Supporting and supervising them, pending successful fundraising bids.
- Ensuring the Bothy is a welcoming space for anyone entering and that they can get help that is appropriate/proportionate to their needs through direct support or signposting.
- Ensuring all policies and practices are kept up to date and modified with the Board as and when required.
- Marketing duties to make recovery visible through a presence on the high street, to listen to and encourage ideas from local people with lived, and living experience of addictions and recovery, including family members.
Essential/Desirable Skills and Attributes
- Managerial experience within Substance Misuse / recovery is essential.
- SVQ 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is highly desirable.
