Your role goes beyond just repairs - you'll actively contribute to our goals by conducting preventative maintenance and championing innovative engineering solutions for process improvement.You'll not only ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery, but also contribute significantly to the profitability and success of our business.In this role, we'll want you to:Maintain and repair processing machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise production.Carry out preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is avoided.Understand, deploy and seek to recommend improvements to production equipment/ procedures.Be actively involved in own personal development plans to maximise performance in the role and the contribute to the success of the business.Where required, contribute to the team's annual operational targets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed upgrades/projects.Liaise with line management, other Catnic functions and third parties to deliver the teams objectives overcoming any issues that may occur.What you will needTo be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be a time served Electrician, and ideally be qualified in an appropriate electrical engineering discipline.Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory would also be ideal, as would previous experience of works processes and control systems.You will also require:Ability to demonstrate initiative, drive and commitmentFlexibility and ability to adapt to ever changing demandsAbility to work safely under pressure and to tight timescalesGood all round education with string numeracy and literacyMust be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to safetyUnderstanding of PLC's is an advantageBenefits:A market competitive salary35 days holidays per annumAnnual Pay ReviewAnnual Bonus Scheme - subject to business performanceOne of the UK's leading defined contribution pension schemes (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution)Acorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment
