Duties and Responsibilities
Include (but are not limited to) the following:-
Support Operations with current product portfolio, productionisation, build efficiency and test plans, whilst also working with NPI products being introduced through the gate system.
Ensure existing tooling and factory aids are optimised.
Design new tooling and ways of working to encourage CIP and efficiencies within the product build cycle.
Champion manufacturing improvements internally and via our sub-contractors.
Prepare documentation and manage engineering documents and tooling for turnkey out- sourcing.
Prepare and present manufacturing data, throughput, test yield to management, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
Measure, complete, analyse and report internal and external manufacturing issues and metrics.
Drive cost cutting exercises.
o Through best practice build and execution.
o Design optimization.
o Tooling and automation improvements.
o Business case evaluation, for improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree qualified with an engineering degree.
Essential to have at least 5 years working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience working with internal and external manufacturing suppliers.
Experience working in a sub-contracting environment will be a distinct advantage.
Be able to work well under severe pressure.
Strong leadership and communication skills
The ability to work with diverse teams.
Outstanding problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
Electronics background would be beneficial.
Language Skills
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
Computer Skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
Oracle experience is preferred.
Helix usage is preferred.
GPS usage is preferred.
