Your Company:
The team at NET Recruit are partnering with a highly successful manufacturing business, who are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team located in the Bournemouth area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business, operating in a changing and highly demanding industry, where standards are continuously rising as new and innovative solutions are formulated to meet the growing needs of the clientele.
This role will sit nicely within their production team and will be of paramount importance in the daily operations of the business to ensure that it can meet the demands of its customers. The person in this position will be knowledgeable and a hands-on worker, able to provide support in a number of areas, aid fellow colleagues in solving problems and work well in a collaborative team environment.
  
Your Roles and Responsibilities
While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing CNC machine programs for the goal of manufacturing components and recommending cutting tools for production
  • Collaborating with production teams to proof new components effectively
  • Reviewing and amending manufacturing layouts for production workers to follow
  • Providing proactive front-line support for machine errors and conducting minor machine maintenance when required
  • Supporting production and maintenance activities to work towards maximum production
  • Restocking the tool vending machine to support production demand and supporting the purchasing of production material to meet requirements
  • Creating operating inspection guides, layouts and MIPs and specifications for activities
  • Supporting on projects for new equipment and process implementation, whilst also looking for ways to improve processes to optimise yield and reduce time
  • Reporting any unsafe operations to the appropriate manager

What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess an HNC/D in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or have apprentice training of a significant amount of time. Experience relevant to this role includes CNC programming languages, CAD or CAM software, 2D & 3D CAD systems as well as ERP systems and Microsoft Office. A good understanding of machine shop processes is also essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team is of paramount importance.
  
What you will get in Return:
For the successful candidate, a starting salary of up to £45,000 will be available. Alongside this, there will be a good remuneration package which will include a good holiday allocation and pension contribution, as well as other work-related benefits and incentives.
