Our client, a Marine Operational Support Provider, are currently seeking a Fast Rescue Craft / Marine Engineer to join their team in Lowestoft.
This is a full time, initial temporary contract position with the strong likelihood of going permanent for the right person.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 16:30, with a one-hour lunch break.
Paid for a 40 hour week.
Overtime potentially available at enhanced rates.
Job role:
As the Fast Rescue Craft / Marine Engineer, you will be required to carry out repairs to the fast rescue and Daughter craft onboard the fleet of Emergency Response and Rescue vessels and/or in house repair workshops.
Candidate Requirements/Qualifications:
- Marine or General Engineering background/qualification.
- Good understanding of petrol 2/4 stroke engines or diesel engines.
- Knowledge/experience of 12-volt electrics and/or the marine industry.
- Computer literate.
- Full driving licence.
Duties include (but aren’t limited to):
- Ensuring all shipboard repairs are carried out in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Keeping company approved Planned Maintenance records up to date.
- Providing out-of-hours support, as and when required.
- Actively promoting and progressing the company QHSE Policies.
