Due to significant growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Marine Stores Assistant to join the team at our HQ in Newry to support our Stores department.
The ideal person will have:
- Knowledge of power tools and their intended application.
- Understanding of maintaining and monitoring stock levels for multiple locations remotely.
- Experience of preparing tools and consumables for shipping.
- Ability to perform manual task
It would be desirable but not essential if the candidate has
- A working understanding of fit out operations and related requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PAT testing
- An understanding of a remote asset tracking system would be advantageous.
- Intermediate Level Excel
- Clean driving license.
The duties will include:
- Fulfilling Tools & consumable requirements stocking containers, tool vaults, crates and boxes as required.
- Supply stock information to internal production for load lists when required.
- Controls inventory using the stock management system.
- Preform annual stock takes / cycle counting within Marine Stores and Tool Containers.
- Assist the team to Ensure tools are fit for purpose, help preform PAT testing and arrange repair as required.
- Assisting the Marine Store Manager with all necessary duties.
