Role overview
This role is a key part of a small and high-performing team responsible for attracting recruits, raising the profile of Now Teach and supporting the delivery of engaging internal communications to our network of Now Teachers. We work together to deliver inspiring marketing campaigns, create impactful content, and develop our website that is visited by over 120,00 people each year.
It is ideal for someone looking for a role that provides exposure to, and development in, different areas of marketing, communications, and content and wants to make a real impact in a small team. This role needs someone who can:
Problem solves and can work on their own initiative to agreed objectives. Deal with multiple priorities and situations as they arise, with an ability to work autonomously and to a deadline. Be professional, personable, and mature in attitude, with the ability to work positively with people at all levels., Changing career to teaching is a big commitment, so we play an important part in giving people the inspiration, insight, and information they need to make this significant, and sometimes scary, step and thrive once they are in the classroom.
Role Description
Contribute to, follow, and maintain an annual content plan to engage our applicants and network members with support from Brand and Content Manager. Work alongside Now Teach colleagues to help them deliver their communications outputs, advising and informing them on how to use templates and brand guidelines. Maintain and develop related website and intranet pages. Deliver our social media plan to increase engagement and followers. Contribute your ideas to shape creation of newsletters, publications, marketing collateral and other outputs for a range of key stakeholders., for example members, the internal team, funders, and partners. Take responsibility for promoting our information events to meet sign-up and attendance targets. Work with colleagues to shape and deliver our Internal Comms plans. Research topics and conduct interviews to write blog articles and create other content Make sure content is informed by audience insight, working with colleagues to find out what topics resonate for our Network Build relationships with Now Teach's career-changers and the team that supports them, enabling you to understand the experience of career-changers, identify exceptional stories and find the person to tell them Monitor content to see how audiences respond, and refine and innovate to improve engagement Work with freelancers to deliver projects, including copywriting, photos, design, and film Identify and test good practice to make our communications effective and industry-leading Manage stock of promotional merchandise. Sourcing and purchasing branded merchandise and other Marketing and related purchases. Support Now Teach's other goals through input on internal, Network stakeholder and fundraiser communications. Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:

Have good written and verbal communication and editing skills. Have a good understanding of marketing techniques, including websites as well as digital and social media, and able to explain them to non-specialists Be able to plan their work and have excellent attention to detail. Have the resourcefulness to make recommendations, start projects, problem solve and see them through to completion with the support of the team Able to set own goals and manage workload in a flexible environment, adapting and operating well with ambiguity Good IT Skills (including Microsoft Office). Knowledge of CRM or EMS systems, but training will be given. Committed to continuous improvement in building a diverse, effective organisation that is truly representative of the communities we serve.
Working arrangements
Full time role, flexible working patterns possible. Now Teach are supported to work flexibly at co-working spaces or at home as needed with regular working days in London.
