Tech She Can's mission is to ensure all UK girls can aspire to pursue and access pathways into tech careers. As a charity, they bring together the collective experience and expertise of their member organisations to tackle the talent shortage and lack of diversity in UK technology.
Title: Marketing and Communications Lead
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Flexible with a hybrid working pattern; the team is mostly remote-based, co-locating in London 1-3 days/month.
Tech She Can are looking for someone who can help the charity to achieve its strategic aims, building on strong foundations to reach 120,000 children by the end of Year 3 and half a million online visitors.
You'll be joining a small and dynamic core team, working in a fast-paced start-up environment. It's a hands-on and varied role, where you'll be involved in a broad range of activities from managing the website, to engaging with their audiences on social media, writing editorial content and member updates, and developing multichannel marketing campaigns in collaboration with partner organisations.
To be successful in this role, you will:
· Have a passion for the mission: diversity and inclusion; women in tech
· Have proven experience in media relations, preferably with an established network in the education / diversity / tech space
· Be experienced in digital Marketing and comms, content creation and web optimisation
· Be able to work under own initiative as well as within a team - and to work closely with individual team members
· Possess excellent multi-channel writing skills, copywriting, and editing abilities - with strong attention to detail
