Job title: Marketing and Financial Promotions Specialist

The role:
Design, implement and embed a robust and pragmatic Marketing and financial promotions approval framework for the business which operates in both non-regulated and financial services sector. The framework must facilitate a consistent and enduring approach to approving promotions across all channels and media. The framework must ensure alignment with relevant regulation and laws whilst supporting the business' commercial growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implementation and embed the Marketing and financial promotions approval framework which ensures an appropriate level of control to support good practice and legal and regulatory compliance as well as alignment with brand and marketing guidelines and tone of voice.
- Production and implementation of associated procedures and logs to create an auditable process. Facilitate BAU execution of the enhanced framework and procedures.
- Incorporation of Marketing and financial promotions processes into the wider business governance framework.
- Education and socialisation of the Marketing and Financial Promotions approval framework and associated processes to key internal stakeholders, including regulatory requirements and best practice use of the framework.
- Support the training and upskilling of Conduct and Governance team and handover to permanent staff.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of the financial promotions rules under PERG in the FCA handbook and practical application of FCA "clear, fair and not misleading" principles
- Understanding and practical application of advertising, Marketing and consumer law
- Demonstrate independent thought and be able to provide challenge/advice to colleagues.
- Strong sense of purpose and positive attitude, with proven ability to deliver results and manage implementation of processes within large, complex organisations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a track record of influencing at Senior Management and Executive level through stature, intellect and presence.
- Comfortable to operate effectively within a changing environment.
