Our client:
Two iconic UK brands with a strong history and heritage who have now merged to create one unique, integrated company. Owned by an FMCG giant who operates in more than 50 countries, with products sold in over 170 countries, represented by almost 38.000 employees worldwide, and a consolidated turnover of €12.7 billion (2020-21).
They are seeking an entrepreneurial & pioneering individual, who thrives on defining and delivering best-in-class consumer & shopper marketing strategies.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in identifying the capabilities and resources needed to deliver truly disruptive marketing campaigns for the UK launch.
• Design, develop, and implement the marketing strategy & plan
• Build and execute the media strategy, in partnership with the media agency and the support of global marketing
• Lead advertising development, together with the creative agency and the support of global marketing
• Maintain a pulse on the competitive environment to assess the impact on the consumer & brand performance
• Build the promotional strategy together with the distributor and monitor to ensure excellent execution
• Manage marketing budgets, monitoring performance and proposing corrective strategies when appropriate
• Recommend the launch/innovation brand & portfolio pipeline.
• Collaborate with the Country Manager to design, build & present the UK 5-year strategic plan
• Bring support (and positive challenge when needed) to the distributor, leveraging pre-aligned KPIs
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
• Relevant degree, or proven experience
• Experience launching a brand from start to finish
• Brand management experience, preferably within the UK FMCG industry
• Experience in developing strategies, aligning senior stakeholders, and driving the brand agenda • Project management experience with a strong focus on strategic planning and execution
• Experience in E-commerce and digital marketing campaign execution
• A pioneer - comfortable leading and managing change and collaborating across teams to achieve financial targets and joint goals
• Naturally curious and consumer-focused, with a keen eye for emerging trends.
• Strong ownership of results and how those results are achieved
• Desire to continually learn, and challenge the status quo, using problem-solving skills • Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, including Macros, V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills
• Flexibility to travel - primarily domestic, with the potential for international travel
